What we do

Two disciplines, one partner

APC Science pairs senior drug development strategy and operations with hands-on technical chemistry. Engage either practice on its own, or both together when a program needs the plan and the molecule to advance in lockstep.

01

Drug development strategy, planning & operations

For teams that need a seasoned development leader without adding one to the org chart. We map the route from where a program is today to its next inflection point and beyond, across any modality, and help make the decisions that set the timeline and the budget.

Our work spans the full arc of development and the operational machinery underneath it, so plans are realistic, resourced, and built to execute.

  • Development strategy and program planning, discovery through clinical
  • Modality selection and target product profiles
  • CMC strategy across small molecules, peptides, and biologics
  • Operations: workflows, build-vs-buy, lab and GMP/GLP program design
  • CDMO, CRO, and vendor sourcing, selection, and management
  • Scientific and technical due diligence for investors and partners

Representative engagements

  • Build a stage-appropriate development plan and budget to the next milestone
  • Stand up and sequence IND-enabling and CMC workstreams
  • Find the highest-value path through a stalled or uncertain program
  • Source and qualify the right CDMO for a difficult molecule

Peptide & antibody technical chemistry and development

Deep, hands-on technical guidance from a chemist who has run thousands of projects at the bench. We specialize in peptides and peptide-based antigens and antibodies, and we take on the projects others find too hard.

That includes the unusual work: conjugates, novel ligands, proprietary scaffolds, and non-standard chemistries, carried from a first synthesis to a developable, manufacturable molecule.

  • Peptide design and solid-phase synthesis (SPPS), including complex sequences
  • Peptide-based antigen design and the antibodies they raise
  • Bioconjugation: peptide, protein, and antibody conjugates
  • Ligands, scaffolds, macrocycles, and non-standard chemistries
  • Developability, formulation, purification, and analytical strategy
  • Scale-up, tech transfer, and GMP readiness

Where we go deep

Peptides & SPPS Antigens Antibodies Conjugates Ligands Macrocycles Scaffolds Formulation Scale-up

If a molecule has come back late, low quality, or unsolved from a contract lab, it is exactly the kind of problem we built our reputation on.

Engagements

The shapes an engagement usually takes

Scoped to the decision in front of you: a single technical read or a full development program. Named here for clarity, always tailored in practice.

Feasibility & strategy diagnostic

Assess what is truly feasible and find the highest-value path forward, with the trade-offs and workarounds that get there.Deliverables: feasibility assessment, options and trade-offs, recommended path, technical risk and CMC/vendor implications, decision memo.

Development plan to the next inflection

The integrated plan, budget, risk register, and milestone logic to reach the next data point or raise.Deliverables: workplan, budget, timeline, risk register, vendor map, milestone logic.

Difficult-molecule review

Chemistry and developability assessment for peptides, conjugates, ligands, scaffolds, antigens, and antibodies, with a route to resolve it.Deliverables: developability assessment, route and process recommendations, analytical and formulation notes, rescue plan.

CDMO / CRO selection & technical oversight

Shortlist, qualify, and manage external partners, with the technical depth to catch failure modes early.Deliverables: selection criteria, vendor shortlist and scorecards, technical fit assessment, oversight plan.

Scientific & technical diligence

An independent read on asset risk, the data package, and the execution plan for investors, acquirers, and boards.Deliverables: independent diligence memo, asset risk assessment, CMC and data-package review, key questions for management.

How we engage

Frame. Design. Develop. Advance.

A simple arc that keeps work pointed at the next inflection, whether the engagement is a single technical question or a full development program.

Frame

Understand the asset, the goal, and what is really limiting it. Name the constraint before touching anything else.

Design

Shape the development map, the study set, the chemistry route, and the budget that get the program where it needs to go.

Develop

Make it real. Chemistry, vendors, and execution, with the technical depth to keep the work honest.

Advance

Move the asset to its next inflection: a data package, a decision, a milestone that changes the conversation.
